BARCELONA, July 29 (Reuters) - Cesc Fabregas is torn between staying with Arsenal or moving back to Barcelona and has said he is still in real doubt over where his future lies.

Confirmation came through yesterday that Sol Campbell has elected to play for Newcastle next season. Campbell signed a one-year contract there, effectively ending his second spell as an Arsenal player. Technically, Campbell ceased to be an Arsenal player about four weeks ago when his contract expired; however, rumours have circulated that he might have been willing to sign with the club again after his honeymoon, and given Arsenal's current shortage of defenders, and the excellent contribution Campbell made in the second half of last season, it's disappointing that he hasn't done that. Never the less, his decision is completely understandable, and if regular football is his aim then it's probably the right move. His new wife is from the Newcastle area as well, so you can see why it's a desirable move for him. Campbell rejoined Arsenal back in January, signing once again on a free transfer. The Arsenal skipper is thought to be keen on a move to the Nou Camp, having gone through the youth system there before being snapped up by the Gunners at the age of 16. The 23-year-old admits Barcelona have his heart but says he can not ignore his commitment to Arsenal, claiming he has a strong connection with Gunners manager Arsene Wenger. "I'm a Barca fan, I'm a socio, as is my grandfather, my uncle, my cousin.. . I have felt the colours from a young age, I'm Catalan," he told magazine DIR Emotions.
